Talented young musicians have taken to the stage to show off their creativity at this year’s Routes Festival.
The event is back for the third time at the Orangebox young people’s centre in Halifax, with budding artists appearing until 8.15pm tonight (Saturday).
The festival provides a platform for musicians aged 12-24 to showcase their sound on an open and accessible stage.
Event organiser Kane Rattray said: “It’s going really good – we’re on schedule and it’s very busy at the minute.”
Three piece rockers Dead End Friends (pictured above) kicked off the two-stage gig, which boasts pop, indie, metal and acoustic bands.
Headliners are the Halifax-based alternative rock outfit 47 Minutes Late.
Tickets to the festival in Thomas Street are £3 on the door.
