Entries are now being taken for the children’s pet show section at Todmorden Agricultural Show on June 21.
Whatever your pet - except dogs - you can enter them and there is even an award for most unusual pet!
There are different sections for age groups five to 10 year olds and 11 to 15 year olds, who will be asked questions by the judge about their pet and its care.
Several trophies up for grabs, including best rabbit and most unusual pet.
Entry forms can be obtained from Todmorden Information Centre on Burnley Road, Todmorden Library on Rochdale Road, Leah’s on Halifax Road, the pet shop on Halifax Road in the town centre and at Todmorden Market on June 7. They are also available from all scholls, and directly from section secretaries Fiona Butler and Karen Andrews.
You can also enter on the day, as long as you do so between 9am and 10am.
The cost is 50p per pet and everyone gets rosette and a certificate to mark the occasion.
Additionally there are special rosettes for 1st 2nd and 3rd places in each section.

l The show’s arts and crafts section entry forms now available and there is a reminder that they have a stall on Todmorden market on Saturday, June 7, from 10am to 3pm, where you can hand in completed entry forms, This is aimed at making the process easier while entries made on the day will be charged £1.
