Two men from Lancashire have pleaded not guilty to fraud charges relating to claims that work needed to be done at two homes in Todmorden.
The pair, who are both in custody, will now face trial on the charges in March.
Charlie Smith, 34, from Nelson, and 29-year-old Jon-Paul Fawcett, from Burnley, both denied the fraud charges when they appeared before a judge at Bradford Crown Court on Thursday, January 16.
One charge accuses them of making a false representation to a male householder that £200 worth of work was needed at his Bath Street home.
The second allegation relates to a claim that £8,000 worth of building work was needed at a woman’s home on Joshua Street.
Both offences date back to October last year.
Their trial is expected to last four days.
