When people come to visit IET they often make a donation to our work and we are very happy to be able to pass this on to the Aqua Garden to support the apprentices and to build a new demonstration and training kitchen so that the growers of the future at the garden will learn how to cook what they have grown.
Estelle Brown from IET presented the cheque to Dan Pinnington in the presence of headteacher Andrew Whitaker and Aqua Garden board member Melvin Coleman.
Mary Clear, IET’s community group lead, said: “Being able to give this money to the school motivates us to continue providing tours and talks all over the UK, because the young people of Todmorden are directly benefitting from our actions.”
