Into the second week of Richard Crossland’s Pennine Way challenge for cancer charities and Richard, centre, and his co-walker Brian Windle, left, are now over half way and for some of the time their photographer has been his daughter Helen, right.
The week has seen them tackle extremes of weather, with day seven seeing them negotiate Fountain’s Head and Pen-Y-Ghent in gale force winds and icy rain. Two days in the sun followed and they spent some time at Tan Hill Inn, Britain’s highest - though Richard and Brian weren’t as impressed with the prices as they were with the ale!
