Two women were threatened with a knife during a robbery at a bus stop in Huddesfield.

Kirklees CID are appealing for witnesses following the incident in which a man and woman threatened the women between 10.50pm and 10.55pm on Saturday November 1 at a bus stop on Trinity Street.

It occurred after a man present at the bus stop turned towards and threatened two women, both aged 17, with a knife, demanding their phones.

One of the women handed a phone over while the other said she did not have one.

The male then fled with a woman who was present during the incident but did not say anything.

He was described as white, 19-years-old, slim and wearing a black Superdry jacket with orange lettering on it. He also wore a black beanie hat with a black hood over the hat.

The woman was also white or possibly of mixed race with light skinned and was 18-19-years-old. She was slightly taller than the man, skinny and had dark hair, wearing a white jacket and a leopard print headband.

DC Craig Foulkes of Huddersfield CID, said: “This was clearly a frightening incident for the victims and I would appeal to anyone who saw this robbery or has information about the suspects to contact us.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who saw a man and woman fitting this description running from the scene. Anyone who has information should contact Kirklees CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
